1. Data Controller

Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by EFR Fairs in its capacity as data controller, within the scope described below.

2. Personal Data Processed

The following data may be processed in connection with forms and requests submitted through our website:

• Identity data: first name, surname
• Contact data: e-mail address, telephone number, address
• Professional data: company name, job title, field of activity, website
• Transaction security data: IP address, browser and device information, cookie records

3. Purposes of Processing

• Evaluating and handling exhibiting and visiting requests
• Establishing and performing contractual processes
• Carrying out fair promotion, announcement and information activities
• Responding to requests, suggestions and complaints
• Fulfilling legal obligations and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Maintaining website security and performance

4. Legal Grounds

Your personal data is processed under Article 5 of the KVKK on the grounds that processing is necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract, for compliance with the data controller’s legal obligations, for the legitimate interests of the data controller provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms, and, where required, on the basis of your explicit consent.

5. Transfers

For the purpose of running the fair, your data may be shared with the venue operator, accreditation and access-system providers, IT infrastructure service providers and authorised public institutions, strictly limited to that purpose and in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.

6. Retention Period

Your personal data is retained for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed and in line with the minimum retention periods stipulated by applicable legislation. Once that period ends, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to: learn whether your personal data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing; know the third parties to whom the data has been transferred domestically or abroad; request rectification if the data is incomplete or inaccurate; request erasure or destruction; request that such actions be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred; object to an adverse outcome arising from analysis carried out exclusively by automated systems; and claim compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing.
